Are 4D Gel Plates legal on UK roads?

Yes – when ordered as road-legal, these plates comply with DVLA rules for font, spacing, reflective backing, and material contrast. Be sure to choose the "Road Legal" option during purchase.

Can I use 5mm Gel Plates as show plates?

Absolutely. We offer a Show Plate version for use at car shows, exhibitions, or private events. These are not legal for use on public highways.

What's the difference between 5mm Gel Plates and 3D Gel Plates?

3D Gel Plates use domed resin alone, while 5mm Gel Plates add a layer of raised acrylic underneath the gel, giving you both height and gloss for a bolder, more premium look.

Will the gel overlay peel or fade?

No – our 4D Gel Plates are made with UV-resistant, automotive-grade gel resin, bonded to the acrylic with high-strength adhesives. They’re designed to resist fading, peeling, and weather damage.
